Responsibilities: Advocates work in a team setting to serve clients suffering from a severe mental illness who live independently in the community. In this outpatient setting, coordination of entitlements, identifying needed resources and supports, planning and providing intensive outpatient services and assisting clients to reach their goals is essential. This is a very mobile position and requires extensive community work with those we serve.
Requirements: Experience working with mentally ill is required. On-call is required and rotated amongst staff evenings, holidays and weekends. Valid Michigan Driver's Lincense and use of your own vehicle is required. BA, RSST or LBSW is preferred.
