Responsibilities: The RN is an important member of a team of Advocates who serve adults with mental illness. The RN guides the team in relation to the consumer's health and medication management. The RN performs annual health assessments, assists the company physicians with annual, quarterly and as-needed doctor visits, and coordinates mental health care with physical health care with the client's family doctor. The RN may visit clients in their homes and offers educational groups. Seeking individuals who can work well with adults who are suffering from a mental illness, offering compassion and building trust, and who wants to make a difference by working toward the goals of our mission and vision. On-call is required, but usually to answer staff questions.
Requirements: 1-2 Years nursing experience. Mental Health nursing experience is a plus. Registered RN with the State of Michigan. Valid Michigan Driver's License. On-call is rotated amongst the nursing staff. Skills in the following areas are desired; Coordination, Time-management, good documentation skills, good oral and written communication skills, team building skills, knowledge of psycho tropic medications, mental and physical health concepts and ability to give injections.
